General Product Care

Washing and Cleaning

All products are designed to be taken apart for thorough cleaning, but for the most part a quick rinse will be sufficient to keep the KeepCup clean. Top rack of the dishwasher is also recommended.

Ensure the lid and cup sit freely in the dishwasher. If the lid or cup is jammed, distorts at high temperature, then cools, you may warp the product and compromise the sealing function.

For KeepCup Brew Cork Edition we advise handwash only, and leaving it to dry our naturally in a warm place.

Do not use abrasive cleaning cloths on any KeepCup. Care should be taken: scratching or denting the cup or lid can compromise the seal. Even minor abrasion to the rim of the cup or lid seal area will compromise the seal.

The tritan LongPlay booster will melt at temperatures exceeding 110 degrees.

Smells and Odours

The old KeepCup on the desk for a week trick.

For lingering smells or tastes we recommend mixing some bicarbonate of soda with some water or lemon juice to make a paste. Smear the paste liberally onto the cup/lid, allow the paste to dry completely then rinse off.

Some customers recommend ‘perfuming’ the cup by leaving coffee beans sealed in your KeepCup overnight.

In between use ensure the KeepCup is kept dry and stored with the lid off to avoid any unwanted smells developing.

Store lid off in an upright position.

Opening and Closing

To retain functionality of the lid, it is important that you assemble and use correctly.
Lift and twist to open, close and remove.

Never pull off directly, over time it will rip off and damage the lugs.

There are two different types of plug, that can only be used on the matching lid.
